This works really well for a certain kind of small incense stick, the kind that doesn't really have a wooden stick core. The ashes fall within the diameter of the stand here and everything stays pretty neat.
But i have two different kinds with a wooden stick core: a thinner one and a thicker one. The thinner one in general kept the ashes in the holder here. The ashes never get really long and so they fall in a nice small area. However occasionally they would build up to be an inch or more in length and when that happens the ash as it falls over, some will fall outside of the holder.
Where it goes wrong is because the core of the stick might be strong enough to hold on to the ashes until they just get too long and have to fall over.
With the sticks with a thicker core, they can build up to be a few inches long and so i definitely had a mess on my hands a few times because they sometimes fell up to four inches away from the wooden stand
Bitt small
Just ok. nothing special
